Arteemaxx 100 mg tablets contain artesunate, an antimalarial medication used to treat uncomplicated cases of malaria. Artesunate works by generating free radicals that attack and kill the malaria-causing parasites within the red blood cells. 

It's important to note that artesunate is not used for preventing malaria or for treating severe malaria cases where the infection has affected vital organs such as the brain, lungs, or kidneys. The use of artesunate should be under the guidance of a healthcare professional, who will determine the appropriate dosage and duration based on individual circumstances and local treatment guidelines.

​Artesunate is an antimalarial medication primarily used to treat malaria infections caused by Plasmodium species. It is effective in eliminating malaria parasites from the bloodstream. 

Dosage and Administration:

• Severe Malaria: The recommended dosage of artesunate for severe malaria is 2.4 mg/kg administered intravenously at 0, 12, and 24 hours, followed by once daily dosing until the patient can tolerate oral antimalarial therapy. ​

• Uncomplicated Malaria: For uncomplicated malaria, artesunate is often combined with other antimalarial agents, such as mefloquine or amodiaquine, to enhance efficacy and prevent resistance.
